Terms of Use

These Terms of Use set the rules for visiting Grundy County Busted Mugshots. Using the pages, links, or connected search tools means accepting these terms. Anyone who does not accept them should stop using the service.

Grundy County Busted Mugshots is privately owned and is not affiliated with a government body, sheriff, jail, police department, corrections agency, or court. Neither the publisher nor its advertising partners provide FCRA-covered services. The resource points visitors toward Grundy County and Illinois records sources, but it is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency.

What This Service Is

This is a private reference resource. It stores no official jail, booking, arrest, or court records and cannot confirm custody, release a person, file a document, or change a government record. It describes public sources such as the Grundy County Sheriff’s jail page, Records contacts, the sheriff’s FOIA instructions, municipal FOIA offices, the Circuit Clerk, Judici, and the Illinois Department of Corrections search.

Links to outside search tools are provided for research convenience. Those providers have their own data, prices, terms, and privacy practices.

Acceptable Use

Use the service lawfully and with respect for the people named in public records. The following conduct is not allowed:

  • Breaking a law or directing another person to do so.
  • Using information to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or expose someone to harm.
  • Using records to make hiring, housing, lending, insurance, licensing, or other screening decisions.
  • Attempting unauthorized access, probing, or interference with the service.
  • Running bots, scrapers, crawlers, or bulk collection against the pages.
  • Disrupting access for other visitors or placing unreasonable load on the service.

No Consumer Reports

The publisher is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not offer background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening services, and neither do its advertising partners through these pages. Information may not be used for an FCRA-covered purpose, including:

  • Hiring, firing, promotion, or other employment decisions.
  • Tenant or housing screening.
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing.
  • Licensing, permits, or eligibility for a government program.
  • Any other use restricted by the FCRA.

Links Outside the Resource

Outbound links may lead to jail information, booking and incident records, sheriff or police pages, corrections agencies, courts, legal-aid resources, federal locators, news organizations, and commercial search services. The publisher does not control their content, data handling, uptime, prices, or security. Review the destination’s terms before using it.

Provided Without Warranties

Everything is provided “as is” and “as available.” No promise is made about:

  • Accuracy, completeness, or current status.
  • Uninterrupted access or availability.
  • Freedom from defects, errors, security holes, or harmful code.
  • The depth or correctness of a partner’s search results.

Custody, records, news reports, court entries, and contact details can change. Nothing here is an official statement from the Grundy County Sheriff, a city police department, a court, or another government agency.

Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the publisher and its owners, contributors, partners, and service providers are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from access to or use of the service, its content, its links, or an inability to use them.

Indemnification Terms

To the extent the law permits, a user agrees to protect and hold harmless the publisher, owners, contributors, partners, and service providers from claims, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from the user’s use of the service or breach of these terms.

Ownership of Materials

Text, graphics, logos, layout, and code belong to Grundy County Busted Mugshots or the partners that supplied them, unless a separate owner is identified. Copying, modifying, republishing, distributing, or selling these materials requires written permission or a lawful license.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised as the service, law, or partner relationships change. A revised version takes effect when posted unless it states another effective date. Continued use after posting means the updated terms are accepted.

Access May End

Access may be limited, suspended, or blocked at any time and without advance notice, including when the publisher believes use threatens the service, another visitor, a source, or a legal obligation.

Illinois Law Applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any required venue rule, disputes will be filed in a court located in Illinois.

If One Term Fails

If a court finds a provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. The affected language will be narrowed or adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable while preserving its purpose.

Questions About Use

Questions about these terms may be sent through Contact Us. Questions about custody, booking records, court results, or a correction must go to the government office that holds the record.
